The most obvious likely effect is that there
may well have been a physical injury.
This
may in turn lead to a financial loss i.e.
the victim and indeed the victim’s close
relative may have to lose time off work or
in some cases may have to give up work
altogether.
There may be additional expenditure by
way of taxi and bus fares and prescription
charges etc.
There are however other effects which
need to be recognised. Quite often, a
considerable strain is placed upon the
family relationship.
The victim may feel the need to change to
a different health care provider.
