objectives which cannot be obtained by going to court
Mediation avoids the claim going to court. The parties
meet and under the guidance of a mediator, try to reach an acceptable
settlement.
This may result in an apology from the
health care provider and possibly some assurance about future practice and
procedures.

mediation process and it either has to be paid for privately, or, in some
cases of claims against health trusts, the health trust itself may pay for
mediation. Always
take legal advice from a qualified solicitor.
